We invite you to join our Temple Beth El family. We offer a vibrant community of congregants, clergy, and staff who enrich each other’s lives through times of joy as well as in times of sorrow. TBE will create meaningful experiences for you through worship, learning and caring, as you develop life-long friendships with our members.

What if I am part of an Interfaith family?

Our goal is to help every family feel comfortable in our congregation, and we warmly welcome interfaith couples and families. A non-Jewish partner or parent can participate in most aspects of Jewish ritual. During a baby naming, or Bar/Bat mitzvah, the non-Jewish parent traditionally joins their spouse and child on the bima. The non-Jewish parent may also deliver an English reading as part of the Bar or Bat Mitzvah service. All are welcome and encouraged to participate in Beth El committee life and events.

Do we have to be a member in order for our child to attend Hebrew School?

Yes, membership is required to attend Temple Beth El’s Hebrew School.  For full information on our re-envisioned educational program, please contact the office at (631) 475-1882 (or email
