Hadassah

We’re very proud that our chapter is one of the oldest in the United Sates; it is 83 years old and still active.  The goals of Hadassah haven’t changed greatly since our founding in 1912.  We help to advance health equity, work to fight hate and antisemitism in the US, and promote the outstanding work of the Hadassah Hospitals in Israel.  These wonderful institutions have developed many scientific breakthroughs and new treatments which help people around the world, and right here in Suffolk County.

We encourage you to become a member.  Our annual dues are $36 which include a subscription to an award-winning magazine filled with valuable information about Israel, health issues, Jewish recipes, fashion, travel, books  and the arts.  With your membership, you can also avail yourself of programs to enjoy at home.  At this time, your membership is an important link to Israel, which needs our active support.  In addition, with the rise in antisemitism, here and abroad, your membership is truly vital.

We meet once a month at homes or on Zoom; the days and times vary depending upon the group’s wishes.  We discuss issues related to Israel and other matters of concern to attendees.  We also host a monthly book discussion on a work selected by our chapter.  This is followed by a coffee and cake social hour.
